CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Clarksville’s F.U.E.L program held its ninth Annual I Scream for F.U.E.L., Ice Cream Freeze Off Saturday, August 24, at Montgomery Central Elementary School. The event raised more than $2,700 for the F.U.E.L. organization.
More than 30 participants brought their favorite homemade ice cream to the event. Guests sampled everything from vanilla to cantaloupe flavored treats.
The Ice Cream Freeze-Off is an annual fundraiser for the F.U.E.L. program that provides non-perishable, easy to prepare food items for hungry children in Clarksville-Montgomery County Schools.
People’s Choice Awards for the tastiest ice cream were presented to Ted Elsner, who won 1st place for his Trinity, 2nd place went to Brad Neely from Frozen Fuel with his Lemon Surprise and 3rd place was won by Brenda Ross with her Tutti-Fruit.
Proceeds from the event will benefit children receiving F.U.E.L. at Montgomery Central and Cumberland Heights Elementary Schools as well as Montgomery Central Middle School.
