CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW)- You’ve got to love a plan when it comes together, especially in the hustle and bustle of the holidays.

The 12th annual Warm Souls Christmas was no exception this year as the Morgan University Center at Austin Peay State University was filled with smiling faces along with the caring and sharing of the community.

Thanks to the efforts of Radical Mission Compassionate Ministries, dozens of businesses, and many churches and civic organizations there was celebration enough for everyone.

Along with a full holiday meal, everything at Warm Souls Christmas was free. There was a love your parents store where kids could pick out and wrap a gift for their parents, a store with clothing and other household items, a shoe store, an area with gifts for all ages, haircuts, family portraits, a homeless care area, and much more.

More than 900 people attended and enjoyed a holiday meal with 150 to-go boxes sent out. When it came to new toys, 643 were given as gifts to children under 12 and 515 new sweatshirts went to members of the community 13 and older. Final figures also show that 130 people received haircuts and there were 250 portraits taken.

Now they didn’t have a sleigh, but the Clarksville Transit System got into the giving spirit and made their delivery of families and individuals from all over the city free to APSU so they could be a part of the festivities.
