CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) Hendrickson Trailer Suspension Systems held a ceremony Monday as they received their Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) Recertification. Located at 151 International Blvd. in Clarksville, Hendrickson is one of only 39 manufacturers in the state to receive the award.
The VPP is an Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) initiative that encourages private industry and federal agencies to prevent workplace injuries and illnesses. The safety program is carried out through hazard prevention and control, workplace analysis, training and cooperation between management and workers.
Gregg Adams, Plant Manager of Hendrickson in Clarksville, said it’s the third time in the last ten years they have received the award.
Adams talked about the honor. “It feels great, it feels good to see all of our employees come together to achieve such a milestone, truly it takes everyone’s effort,” said Adams.
Hendrickson Trailer Suspension Systems designs and manufactures motor vehicle parts and accessories and employs close to 530 workers at their Clarksville facility.
