Clarksville, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) The Palmyra Volunteer Fire Department hosted the Firefighter Jesse Knowles “Keep Truckin'” Memorial 5K/Car Show/Silent Auction event Saturday at Richellen Park on Hwy 149. The event was a fundraiser for the Firefighter Jesse Knowles Foundation.
Knowles, whose personal motto was “Keep Truckin'”, was a member of the Palmyra Volunteer Fire Service and one of his last wishes before he passed away was that a scholarship fund would be set up for a student at his Alma Mater, Montgomery Central high School. His family and the fire service awarded the first scholarship in 2017.
