CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) Montgomery County showed its appreciation to 157 of its employees at their annual Service Awards Luncheon Thursday. They were treated to lunch and received service certificates and pins depending on how long they had worked with the county.
Employees who have completed 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40 or 45 years of service as of the end of 2018 were recognized from 28 different county departments. Montgomery County Mayor Jim Durrett said the 157 employees combined indicated 2,030 years of service to the citizens of the county.
“I really just want to say to each and every one of you, from 45 years all the way down to 5 years, thank you for your service. Each and every one of you are a vital part of really what’s going on in Montgomery County, all the growth, all the excitement. I just want to say from the bottom of my heart thank you for what you do each and every day and just continue to do a great job,” Durrett said.
