CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) Even though there was a chill in the air Saturday morning, close to 700 walkers took part in the 7th Annual Community CARES Walk & Expo at Liberty Park hosted by the Clarksville Association for Down Syndrome (CADS).

Along with the walkers over 50 vendors, many representing local nonprofit organizations, were set up to offering games, kids activities, pumpkin decorating, music, free food and fun for those attending.

Each year the event helps to raise awareness and provide information to the community and its special citizens concerning health, wellness, safety, and education. The Community CARES Walk & Expo is also a fundraiser to help promote the special needs community.
