Clarksville, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The Clarksville Association for Down Syndrome (CADS), hosted their 8th Annual Community C.A.R.E.S. Walk & Expo Saturday at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center. Hundreds turned out to walk or be a part of the free event with more than 70 vendors and this year’s sports theme of All Stars.
C.A.R.E.S. stands for Community Advocating Resources for Every Special citizen. Former Austin Peay Head Basketball Coach Dave Loos, along with Former APSU Head Volleyball Coach Cheryl Holt were co-chairs for the walk and expo.
CADS also partnered with the City of Clarksville and the Clarksville Parks & Recreation Department to join dozens of nonprofit organizations and businesses to provide awareness for local special citizens, their families, and the community, about health, wellness, safety, education and more.
