CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (ESPN CLARKSVILLE) The Clarksville Lady Wildcats won 15-1 against district rival Rossview Tuesday.
Gracelyn Woolen and Taylor Adkins both hit home runs in the second inning, giving CHS an 11-0 lead. Rossview’s Madelyn Puddy answered back with a solo home run, putting the Hawks on the scoreboard.
Madison Pounds, Kaitlyn Grant, and Kynsie Mosier all pitched for Rossview. Combined, they allowed 13 hits and walked four batters.
CHS’s Madisen Blackwell pitched three innings, allowed one hit and struck out three batters. Blackwell also went 3-for-4 at the plate. Madison Haught pitched two innings, allowed one hit and struck out two batters. The defense behind these two pitchers was error free.
Clarksville remains in first place in the district. The district tournament starts next week.
