CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) City Saver officials presented a check for $170,000 to the Clarksville-Montgomery County Education Foundation Saturday during a Mega Party for elementary school students who sold coupon books during the recent fundraiser.
Hundreds of elementary school children along with their families had fun at the party at the Austin Peay Foy Center with free food, games, prizes, inflatables, laser tag a video game truck and more. Over 400 students who sold at least seven of the City saver coupon books were invited to the party.
The Education Foundation will use the money raised to benefit schools in the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System. The mission of the foundation is to support the improvement of public education by providing the school system additional funding to support programs and initiatives that contribute to student achievement.
