CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) — Clarksville Parks & Recreation hosted their inaugural Cumberland Light Run at McGregor Park on Saturday, offering both a 5K and 1-Mile Loop to accommodate both experienced and amateur runners.
The Parks & Rec Department will use the funds collected from registration fees to invest in new lights and decorations for the Christmas on the Cumberland displays in the coming years.
Runners enjoyed a route that took them through McGregor Park and the Riverwalk’s festive decorations while those participating in the 5K continued down the Upland Trail and back to the finish line, where they were treated to cool water, hot chocolate, and various sweets.
