CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) Autism ETC. Education & Therapy Center cut a ribbon Friday at their new location as a member of the Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce.
Executive Director Rhonda Manous said the center primarily offers applied behavior analysis therapy.
“Basicaly it’s teaching children how to do things incrementally. Every increment, every little success that they have gets rewarded. When they have meltdowns, we don’t punish them, we redirect it,” said Manous.
The former location only allowed around 25 children to be served at any given time. The new facility will allow Autism ETC to double the number of clients it serves each day. The mission statement for Autism ETC is Instilling hope through services and support in children and families affected by autism.
