FORT CAMPBELL, Ky. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) At a Welcome Home Ceremony Monday, 51 soldiers with the 501st Area Support Medical Company of the 531st Hospital Center were welcomed back to Fort Campbell from their nine-month deployment to Iraq.
Captain David Gough was one of the returning soldiers and said he along with the other members of the unit were excited to be home. Gough also talked about the work of the soldiers on their mission.
“They did exceptionally well. I’m really proud of them and all of their efforts. They did exactly what they were meant to do and that’s to provide medical care in Iraq in support of Operation Inherent Resolve,” said Gough.
