CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) The 3rd annual SpiritFest drew hundreds of holiday revelers to downtown Clarksville ahead of Saturday’s Christmas parade.

The event, created by First Presbyterian Church, had a built-in crowd for the event from the outdoor skating rink at the new Downtown Commons.
Entertainment featured the Northeast High School Exit 1 Show Choir, the Clarksville Academy Concert Choir, Central Sound from Montgomery Central Elementary and the Rossview Signing Hawks, a sign language choir made their first public appearance.
The afternoon festivities concluded with the national anthem performed by Terry Lynn and Kiera Green from Northeast High.
Montgomery County Mayor Jim Durrett made introductory remarks and Pastor Greg Glover led a prayer leading up to a holiday performance by the 101st Airborne Division Brass Band.
Event organizer Kris Foust of First Presbyterian Church said the event was a way for the church to welcome guests to downtown and usher in the holidays.
Exhibitors included The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Units, Infinity Dance Studio, Montgomery County Humane Society, The United Way, The Boy Scouts, APSU International Department, Project Transformation, American Field Service, Youth Villages and Clarksville Junior League.
Food trucks from Fire & Ice, Relish The Dog, Letters from Home Pizza, and The Crave of Clarksville.
