Fort Campbell, KY. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) Friday morning on August 30, close to 100 soldiers with the 1st Brigade Combat Team (BCT) returned to a Welcome Home Ceremony at Campbell Army Airfield at Fort Campbell. The troops return after a nine-month deployment to Iraq and Syria serving in Operation Inherent Resolve.

The Deputy Commander for Operations of the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) and Fort Campbell, Colonel David Foley, said it was an awesome day to be a Bastogne soldier and part of a tremendous division and community.

“I want you all to look around. This is what’s important, what’s important is the families and the brotherhoods that you all have made over the last nine months or so and you ought to be proud of what you’ve done. Proud of yourselves, proud of your families so thank you,” said Foley.
