CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The Downtown Commons transformed into a sock hop as Rock n’ Roll tunes echoed across the commons and attendees, many dressed in their best 50s attire, to do the twist as they hopped back in time in honor of Daylight Savings.

The Sock Hop was held on Saturday, November 2 at the Downtown Commons in Clarksville.

“We skipped an hour and went all the way back to the 50s for Daylights Saving Time,” said Paula Atkins, event planning manager for Downtown Commons. “It was a fun day to come out, dance, and hang out with friends.”

Golly G’s and Bench Clearing provided food and ice cream and  The Good Rockin’ Tonight band, based out of Nashville, performed 1950s classics live.
