A Celebration of Life service for Phillip Ray Sutton, age 74 of Southside, will be Wednesday, February 5, 2020, at 12:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home with Bro. James Black officiating. Burial will follow in Southside Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 4, 2020, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and again on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home. Phillip passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2020, at Horizon Medical Center. He was born on September 17, 1945, in Montgomery County to Ray and Susie Sinks Sutton. He loved riding his tractor, tending to his cows, cruising in his ’55 Chevrolet, spending time with his family, and socializing at the Southside Store with friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents. Phillip is survived by his wife of 53 years, Roberta Travis Sutton; son, Kerry “Bubbie” Sutton and his wife, Pam; brother, Ronnie Sutton; sisters, Carolyn Devers and Bonnie Swiderski; grandchildren, Shelby (Blake) Franks and Cody (Madison) Sutton.
Pallbearers will be James Beck, Jerred Willoughby, Bobby Grimes, Ben Workman, Jarren Collins, and Cary Dunn.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Jimmy Collins, Buddy Grimes, Doug Smith, Mike Wilkerson, and Glenn Weakley.
