Phillip Nelson Christy, age 44, passed away on Tuesday, July 20, 2021.
He entered into this life on June 8, 1977 in Montgomery County to parents Nelson Christy and Hanna Wyatt Christy. He was a graduate of the Class of 1995 at Montgomery Central High School and most recently worked as a welder for Trane Company.
Phillip was a member of Madison Street United Methodist Church and enjoyed time spent outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He will be fondly remembered as being a wonderful uncle.
He was preceded by his grandparents, Roy Lee and Marie Christy. In addition to his mother, Hanna Christy, and his father and mother by marriage, Nelson and Barbara Christy, survivors include his grandparents, Bill and Betty Baker; brother, Bryan Christy; and niece and nephew, Aurelia Christy and Bryan Lee Christy II.
A celebration of life service was held Sunday, July 25 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with the Rev. David Mackens officiating. Visitation with the family was held the same day at the funeral home.
