Philip Lynn Haneline, age 63, of Michigan, passed away on May 12, 2021, in his home in Brentwood.

Phil was born on August 8, 1957, in, Michigan, the son of Maurice and Shirley Haneline. He grew up in Erin and graduated from Houston County High School in 1975. Having learned the brick mason trade from his father, he continued that career in Nashville with WASCO Inc. Masonry Company, until his retirement.

His joy for life and infectious smile will be greatly missed by his loving wife Laraine of Brentwood, his mother Shirley Haneline of Erin, his stepchildren Stewart Strickland and Diana Hensley and his number one pal, grandson Kizer Hensley of Brentwood. His other close family members include, son-in-law Shawn Stewart of Brentwood, sisters Sandy Haneline, Annette Pulley and Lori Moore, brothers-in-law James Pulley and Randy Moore, all of Erin. Among others are his many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends especially Johnna Buswell who spent much time caring for him during his illness, that will also mourn with the family. He is preceded in death by his father, Maurice Haneline.

Phil’s family will mourn his absence but take comfort in the fact that he is home. He left traces of himself in every person he knew, and for that he will never be forgotten. Not a day will pass without knowing he was here, and he will remain in his family’s hearts until they see him again.

There will be a graveside service held at 2 p.m. on Saturday May 15, 2021 at Cedar Hill Cemetery with Brother Paul S. Moody officiating.
