WASHINGTON, D.C. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) – As Congress works on a replacement for The Affordable Care Act, a change.org campaign is taking aim at healthcare subsidies for members of Congress and their families.
The petition, which will go to the U.S. House, Senate, House Speaker Paul Ryan, President Donald Trump and Senator Bernie Sanders is titled ‘Remove health-care subsidies for Members of Congress and their families’ and their families.
As of Thursday morning the petition had more than 400,000 supporters. It has a goal of 500,000 signatures.
The petition was started by Daniel Jiminez of Portland, Oregon.
