Perry Mack Hayes, 87, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Tuesday, November 24, 2015, at Gateway Medical Center.

Mack was born on December 22, 1927, in Palmyra, TN to the late Larkins Perry Hayes and Hattie Wickham Hayes. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Frances Lane Hayes; son, Teddy M. Hayes; daughter, Lucy Rogers; and three sisters, Marcia Bryant, Oueida Black, and Atha Johnson.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2015, at 12:00 p.m. at Pleasant View Baptist Church with Brother John Rushing, Brother Chris Edmondson, and Pastor Jerry Jeter officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant View Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 27, 2015, from 3:00-7:00 p.m. with a masonic service to follow at the Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home and Saturday, November 28, 2015, from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at the church.

Mack was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Palmyra Masonic Lodge #747 for over 60 years and the Teamster Union. He was a cattleman, atomic energy worker, and proud WWII Veteran. He was a man of great integrity and had a love for his country.

Mack is survived by his wife of 46 years, Barbara Burnette Fortner Hayes of Clarksville, TN; two daughters, Sheila (Bobby) Edmondson and Cynthia (Johnny) Davis of Clarksville, TN; two sons, Robert (Shirley) Fortner of Portland, TN and Steve (Carol) Fortner of Clarksville, TN; sister, Elaine Ellis of Clarksville, TN; eight grandchildren; and twenty-one great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Mark Malick, Joe Lallo, Jerry Verkler, Michael Redfern, Gene Schrimpshire, and Darrell Blackard.
