Peggy Jean Gray, a beloved member of the Clarksville community, passed away on March 26, 2024. She lived a remarkable life filled with love, dedication, and service to others.
Celebration of Life will be held 11 a.m. on Friday, March 29, 2024, at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, March 28, 2024, at the Funeral Home and again on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of the service.
Peggy was born on October 8, 1932, and throughout her years, she touched the hearts of many. Known for her unwavering faith and kind spirit, Peggy dedicated her time as a school crossing guard for many years before retiring at the age of 80.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Nita White and Rita Pelham; cherished brothers, Rodney (Nell) Poole and Douglas (Faye) Poole; adored grandchildren, Amy Morrison, Amber Owens, Ashleigh (Jay) Johnson, Amanda (John) Makowski, Sara Pelham, and Jonathan Pelham; seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Peggy is preceded in death by her husband, Clarksville Fire Chief Finis Gray; son Robert “Bobby” Gray; and siblings Billy Poole, Harry Poole, W.G. Poole, J.T. Poole, Essie Lois Walcott, Mary Poole, and Ruth Poole.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
