Update, 3:08 p.m.: The pedestrian involved in last night’s single vehicle crash has been identified as 39-year-old Shawna Renee Hudson, according to CPD.

Next of kin has been notified of the accident and no other information has been released.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A single vehicle crash involving a pedestrian has been reported on Providence Boulevard near the Red River bridge, according to CPD spokesperson Scott Beaubien.

The Clarksville Police Department was made aware of the crash at around 9:49 p.m. When first responders arrived, the pedestrian was transported to Tennova Healthcare. CPD said that their status is unknown for the time being.

The northbound and southbound lanes are currently shut down while investigators make their way to the crash site. No other information has been released.

CPD has asked motorists to find an alternative route until they can clear the roadway.
