CLARKSVILLE, Tenn (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A pedestrian is in stable condition and remains in a Nashville hospital after being struck by a car on January 24.
At about 9:45 p.m., on Ft Campbell Blvd near Avalon St., a 17-year-old female driving a 2008 Dodge Avenger was traveling south on Ft Campbell Blvd when a 51-year-old pedestrian crossed the roadway into the path of the car and was struck.
The driver did not see the pedestrian until just before impact, according to a release from Clarksville Police.
The area where the pedestrian crossed is very dark, with little street lighting, and is neither a crosswalk nor an intersection.
The pedestrian was taken by EMS to Tennova and then transferred to a Nashville hospital. The 17-year-old driver was uninjured.
No charges have been filed.
