CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle Friday around 9:25 p.m. on Fort Campbell Blvd. near Ringgold Rd.

According to Officer Natalie Hall with the Clarksville Police Department, a 1995 Chrysler Cirrus driven by Keith Germany, 49, was traveling southbound in the right lane and struck Thomas Burchett, 49, who was in the roadway.

Burchett was not wearing reflective clothing and was not in an intersection or unmarked crosswalk.

He was taken by LifeFlight to Vanderbilt Medical Center where he is in critical condition.

This marks the sixth pedestrian collision in Clarksville since December, four of which have been fatal.
