Update, 3:55 p.m.: The driver and car involved in the hit and run have been identified, Beaubien said in a news release.

The investigation is ongoing, and no more information was immediately available.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A 29-year-old pedestrian was hit on 101st Airborne Division Parkway late Tuesday evening, and police are looking for the driver of the car involved after they fled the scene.

Around midnight on Tuesday, the man was walking eastbound on the 101st Airborne Division Parkway near the intersection of Whitfield Road when he was struck, according to a news release from CPD spokesperson Scott Beaubien.

After the incident, he was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he is listed in critical but stable condition, Beaubien said.

CPD is looking for a pearl white Toyota Avalon, between 2005 and 2010 model year. The vehicle should have damage to the driver’s side front corner and is missing the driver’s side view mirror that was recovered at the scene, Beaubien continued.
