CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A man who was hit by a vehicle on Fort Campbell Blvd. Dec. 1 has died from his injuries.
According to Clarksville police, 64-year-old John Chambers died from his injuries on the afternoon of Wednesday, Dec. 12.
Police said Chambers was walking west across Fort Campbell Blvd. from the Oak Haven Hotel around 7:38 p.m. He was wearing a black hat, black coat, and blue jeans.
A white Ford F-150 driven by a 46-year-old man was driving north on Ft. Campbell Blvd. in the left lane. The F-150 struck Chambers as he entered the left travel lane.
The victim was taken by ambulance to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in critical condition.
The driver of the F-150 was uninjured.
No charges have been filed against the driver and the investigation is ongoing.
