Update, 10 a.m. Saturday: The crash occurred when a black Dodge Charger traveling east on Virginia Terrace near Jana Drive struck a 54-year-old USPS Postal worker as he was trying to cross the roadway, according to Clarksville Police Lt. Melissa Spielhagen. The pedestrian was flown to Skyline Hospital in stable condition.
Officers are still investigating whether or not the vehicle’s headlights were activated at the time of the collision. The 23-year-old driver was cited for other charges and released at the scene.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A pedestrian was critically injured after being hit by a car Friday evening in a neighborhood off Peachers Mill Road.
At about 5:22 p.m., the pedestrian was hit by a car on Virginia Terrace, according to Clarksville Now news partner Dash 10 Media. The pedestrian was taken to Skyline Medical Center by AirEvac helicopter. The driver of the car was released by CPD from the scene.
Clarksville Now has reached out to CPD for information.
