Patterson Dwayne Rogers “Cricket”, age 59, passed away Sunday, December 6, 2020, at his residence.
Dwayne was born December 12, 1960, in Clarksville, TN to the late Winfield Rogers and Arlene Patterson Rogers. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his sister, Dehronda Rogers Watson, and his brother-in-law, Glenn Hodges. He is survived by his son, Preston Winfield Rogers; Beatrice Rogers; brother, Anthony Rogers; sisters Marilynn Rogers Watson, Jennifer Hutton Hodges; nieces, Chasidy (Ed) Sullivan, Michelle Hodges; nephew, Frederick “Freddy” Persinger III; great-nephew, Leigh Sullivan, and his extended family of Beatrice Rogers.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held, Saturday, December 12, 2020, at 2:00 PM at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kip McNeil officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, December 12, 2020, from 11:00 AM until the hour of service. Interment will be at Riverview Cemetery.
Dwayne’s favorite activities were to hunt and fish alongside his son. He created and managed his own business, Precious Metals. Along with being a father and business owner, Dwayne was a genuine animal lover. His Yorkies Precious, Printha, Bella, and parrot Gina were blessed with his love and presence daily. He was very sociable and the type of man who never met a stranger.
Pallbearers will be Preston Rogers, Thomas Rose, Anneliese Rose, Leigh Sullivan, Stephan Keck, and Tom Rose.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude or the Humane Society of Clarksville, Montgomery County.
