Dianne was born in Clarksville, TN, on August 11, 1944, to the late Edward Ellis and Catherine Omega Sheppard. In addition to her parents, Dianne is preceded in death by her brothers, Edward Terry Ellis and Larry Michael Ellis, and sisters, Sandra Ellis Hinton and Donna M. Ellis.
Dianne is survived by her sisters-in-law, Linda Ellis Cunningham and Sara Mobley Ellis. “Aunt Di” is also survived by her nieces, Sabrina Ellis Hester (Mark), Cindy Hinton Church, Cathy Hinton Wall (Chris), Michelle Ellis Rodriguez (Lou), Anna Hinton Blackwell (Steve), Merci Ellis Chartrand (Danny), and Jamie Hinton; nephews, Edward “Rusty” Ellis (Kathy), Michael “Winn” Ellis (Cindee), James “Micky” Ellis (Sharon), and Jamey Hinton; 22 great nieces and nephews, 33 great-great nieces and nephews, and 3 great-great-great nieces and nephews.
Dianne was a lifetime member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and a dedicated member of the Immaculate Conception Council of Catholic Women, serving in all offices including president and chairman of the craft fair. She was the former secretary of the Diocesan Council of Catholic Women. Dianne graduated from Clarksville High School in 1963. She retired from the State of Tennessee as a driver’s license examiner. Dianne was a talented cake decorator, making numerous wedding and birthday cakes for the family.
A Funeral Mass will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at 10:30 AM, with rosary beginning at 10:00 AM, on Thursday, October 24, 2024, with Father Paul Nguyen officiating. Visitation will be held at Neal Tarpley Parchman Funeral home on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, and at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on Thursday, October 24, 2024, from 9:30 AM until the hour of service. Burial will follow the service at Greenwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Edward “Rusty” Ellis, James “Micky” Ellis, Michael “Winn” Ellis, James Wall, Eric Ellis, and Evan Ellis.
