Pat Reed, age 77, of Clarksville, passed away Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at Gateway Medical Center.
Pat was born April 11, 1937 in Mendenhall, MS, to the late Hugh Reed and Eula Lee Reed. He was also preceded in death by one son, Richard “Tiger” Reed.
Mr. Reed was a US Army Veteran, having served 27 years, including tours in Korea and Vietnam.
Funeral service will be held at noon on Wednesday, December 3 at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, with Rev. Buster Gilliam officiating. Interment will follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery – West, in Hopkinsville, KY, where full military honors will be conducted. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, December 2, and from 10 a.m. until the hour of service on Wednesday, December 3 at the funeral home.
Pat is survived by his wife, Ingeborg Reed of Clarksville; children, Steven Patrick (Rose) Reed of Pensacola, FL, Diane (Dwight) Varner of Bradon, MS, Michele Adcox of Mendenhall, MS, Josef (Taylor and Dylan) Reed of Clarksville, Susan Christina (Tim) Smith of Erin, TN, and Jamy (Jennifer) Reed of Clarksville; nephew, Milton (Ellen) Harris of Louisiana; niece, Mary Johnson of Nashville, TN; fourteen grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Military personnel will serve as pallbearers.
