CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Clarksville-Montgomery County School System will be recognizing Advanced Placement students who scored a 3, 4 or 5 on their exam July 27. Each of the students who qualify will have the chance to win big.

The Fifth Annual Pass and Go event, a reward celebration for CMCSS students, is set for this Saturday.

“We want to recognize those students for working very hard by taking Advanced Placement classes,” said Dr. B.J. Worthington, CMCSS Director of Schools.

For each AP exam the students passed, Wyatt Johnson Automotive Group will award one chance to win a new vehicle. CMCSS has notified eligible students, informing them of how many exams they have passed and how many chances they have to win the car.

Wyatt Johnson is offering the overall winning student his or her choice of three 2013 cars: a Toyota Yaris, a Mazda 2 or a Hyundai Accent.

After the registration is complete students will draw their key(s) from a jar. Included within the total number of keys will be twelve keys, which will open the car door and qualify the key holder as a finalist to draw from another jar of twelve keys, one of which will start the car and designate the winner of the Wyatt Johnson Pass and Go car.

“I am excited to be a part of this program,” says Katherine Johnson Cannata, Dealer Principal for Wyatt Johnson. “It’s important to think outside the box and hopefully this will create a bigger incentive for students to enroll in AP classes.”

Additionally, AP students will have greater chances of winning, thanks to Premier Medical. They partnered with CMCSS and Wyatt Johnson in the Pass & Go event and are giving away 15 laptop computers and eight iPods.

At registration, the students will receive a jump drive. The student will plug the jump drive into one of the computers. If the jump drive is a winner, the student will take home one of the 15 computers. Premier Medical will also be giving away other door prizes and William Beach Oil will be drawing for $25 gas cards. Domino’s Pizza will be present, with food and door prizes.

Registration for the Wyatt Johnson Pass & Go event will begin at 4 p.m. and end at 5 p.m. The event will take place at Wyatt Johnson Mazda, 2425 Wilma Rudolph Blvd. Attendees may park in the St. Bethlehem Elementary parking lot and a shuttle will be available.
