CLARKSVILLE, Tenn (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Clarksville Parks & Recreation will offer an organized NFL flag football league for youth in Clarksville this fall.
The league, organized in partnership with the NFL, will provide players with an opportunity to engage in non-contact action while learning lessons in teamwork, sportsmanship and discipline. With over a thousand leagues, NFL Flag is the largest flag football organization in the U.S.
It is also the only league where players wear official NFL gear.
Boys and girls, ages 5-10, are invited to take part. Weekly practices begin August 24, and games will be held on Saturdays through November 2 at Liberty Park.
Registration is available online through the Parks & Recreation website until August 9. The fee is $80 per participant. Each player will receive a belt, flags and jersey provided by NFL Flag.
