CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The surface parking lot on Second Street facing the Montgomery County Courts Complex will be closed for maintenance on Tuesday and Wednesday, Oct. 25 and 26.
The parking garage adjacent to the lot, as well as the leased spaces in the garage, will be open as usual and will be accessible from the 1st floor entrance on Commerce Street.
The work had been announced for Thursday and Friday but was moved up to better accommodate an expected heavy court docket late in the week.
The Clarksville Parking Commission, which operates the Cumberland Plaza surface lot, will close it for sealcoating and restriping. Because this is the most heavily used public parking lot in Downtown Clarksville, the commission alerts those who may be headed to the courts complex on Tuesday and Wednesday to this temporary closing.
The contractor will be applying the sealcoat and striping products Tuesday, Oct. 25, weather permitting. The products need an extra day to cure, so the lot will stay closed on Wednesday, Oct. 26. It will reopen Thursday, Oct. 27.
