The Kirkwood High Cobras soccer team traveled to Clarksville High for the district 13- 4A semifinals against the Wildcats in an elimination game. The Wildcats used timely goals to pull ahead, and despite a late score from the Cobras, they fell just short, as CHS advanced to the district championship with a 2-1 victory, which also ends the Cobras’ season.
The third-seeded Fairview Yellow Jackets traveled to the two-seeded Montgomery Central Indians for the first round of the District 11- 3A tournament. The Indians’ offense scored timely runs, and Central’s Addison Jackson pitched a complete game shutout to earn a 2-0 victory and stay in the winner’s bracket.
