FORT CAMPBELL, Ky (CLARKSVILLENOW) – More than 140 Fort Campbell soldiers are returning home from a nine month deployment to Kuwait.
Soldiers assigned to 594th Transportation Company, 129th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, 101st Sustainment Brigade, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) will be welcomed home at a ceremony this week.
While deployed in support of Operation Spartan Shield and Operation Inherent Resolve, “Lifeliner” Soldiers provided uninterrupted transportation of supplies and equipment throughout Kuwait in support of U.S. forces.
The 594th TC executed more than 600 transportation movements, totaling over 550,000 miles driven; 14 port debarkation missions; transported hundreds of containers to supply points throughout Kuwait and executed two field training exercises at Camp Buehring, Kuwait.
