CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – One man was injured during a drive by shooting in Clarksville Tuesday, January 21.
The incident occurred in the area of Richardson Street and Summit Heights.
When officers arrived, they found a 36-year-old man laying in the middle of the road in front of a building in Summit Heights. He had sustained a gunshot wound to the buttocks. An unoccupied housing authority truck in front of another building was struck by gunfire.
Several residents outside heard gunshots but did not see a vehicle or suspect(s).
The 36-year-old man was transported by ambulance to a hospital.
The crime scene was processed and the investigation is ongoing.
Police do not believe this to be a random act.
