MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Tenn. – One person was injured in a two-vehicle crash involving a bus on I-24 near mile marker 9 in Montgomery County Thursday morning.
According to a police report, the bus was traveling in the right lane when a Toyota Scion sped past the bus and switched into the right lane, clipping the front drover’s side of the bus.
The driver of the Toyota lost control, left the roadway, and rolled over before hitting a tree.
The bus driver, who was the only occupant of the vehicle, was not injured.
When police arrived, the driver of the Toyota, identified as 23-year-old Tommy Logan of Clarksville, had left the scene in another vehicle.
Logan was found at his residence and transported to Gateway for medical treatment, then transferred to Skyline Medical Center.
He was later cited.
