CHRISTIAN COUNTY, Ky. – The Kentucky State Police investigated a three-vehicle injury collision that occurred on Interstate 24 around the 86 mile marker on Thursday, July 30 around 3:45 p.m.
Kyle Foster, 22, of Paducah, Kentucky was driving a 1999 Jeep Wrangler traveling westbound on I-24. Elaine Morgan, 55, and her 19-year-old daughter Megan Dee of Enoree, South Carolina were traveling in a 2005 Kia Sedona westbound on I-24.
55-year-old Alfredo Montoya of Baja, California was driving a 2015 Freightliner truck without a trailer westbound on I-24.
At around the 86 mile marker Morgan and Montoya were stopped on the roadway due to heavy traffic. Foster did not notice that the traffic had come to a stop and rear-ended Morgan’s vehicle, causing her rear-end Montoya’s truck.
All were wearing their seatbelts.
Megan Dee Morgan was transported to Jennie Stuart Hospital by Christian County EMS.
KSP SGT Ayers, Oak Grove Fire, and the Christian County Sheriff assisted at the scene.
