CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Clarksville Police Department has charged an adult and a juvenile for assisting a juvenile detention facility escapee, Tai Harrell who was recaptured in Oak Grove, Ky, May 17.

Harrell was on the run for over a month before being taken into custody in May. The police department had asked for the public’s assistance to locate the escapee. The police made it well known that anyone who was harboring or assisting Harrell would be criminally charged.

During the course of an ongoing investigation, it was discovered that an adult, Amy Thompson, 34, and a juvenile provided assistance to Harrell which allowed him to remain at large.

Amy Thompson was charged with Accessory After the Fact and Contributing to the Delinquency. She was booked into Montgomery County Jail on May 26. Her bond was set at $100,000. She made bond the same day.

The juvenile was charged in juvenile court May 31 with Accessory After the Fact.
