OAK GROVE, Ky. – An 11-year-old Kentucky boy was airlifted to a Nashville hospital after he was struck by a police cruiser Monday evening on KY 911 at Tyler St.
According to a release from Kentucky State Police, Officer Clevin Robinson, 28, with the Oak Grove Police Department was patrolling the area in a 2012 Ford Explorer Cruiser.
Justin Robertson was struck as he ran into oncoming traffic, crossing in front of Robinson’s vehicle.
Robertson was transported by Lifeflight to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for treatment where he was last listed in critical but stable condition.
Sergeant Derek Smith with KSP is continuing the investigation. Lieutenant Jason Newby, Sergeant Tim Sales, Trooper Luis Palmer, Oak Grove Police Department, Oak Grove Fire Department, Oak Grove EMS, and Air Evac assisted at the scene.
