Omie Maeleen Phillips, age 71 of Clarksville, passed away on June 11, 2021.
She was born on March 15, 1950 to Frederick and Elsie Mae Taylor Grant in Phoenix, Ariz. Omie was a generous woman who loved her family and giving to others. She enjoyed attending Gateway Baptist Church, sewing, shopping and going to yard sales.
In addition to her parents, Omie is preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Teddy Phillips and brother, Frederick Grant. She is survived by her children: Karina Phillips, Cylinda (Chris) Hodges, Mary (Ben) Reed and Teddy (Hannah) Phillips, Jr; grandchildren: Joey Muller, Shannon Muller, Kari Gooch, Jacob Hodges, Johnathan Hodges, Jared Hodges, Heather Henry, Dana Tyler, Silas Phillips, Daniel Phillips, Isaiah Phillips, Josiah Phillips and Elisabeth Phillips and great-grandchildren, Cael, Oliver, ElsieMae, Fynn, Milam and TeddiLu.
A memorial service will be Saturday, June 19 at 11 a.m. at Gateway Baptist Church. Rev. Teddy Wayne Phillips, Jr. will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a place dear to Omie’s heart, Shenandoah Baptist Boys Ranch and Girls Haven, 138 Osment Road SE, Cleveland, TN 37323.
