MONTGOMERY COUNTY, The death of an Army veteran whose remains were found in Palmyra last week is being investigated as a possible homicide, according to officials with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO).
However, other causes of death have not yet been ruled out.
Autopsy results are still pending from the Medical Examiner in Nashville.
The body of Melissa Sue Napier (Woodruff), 30, of Clarksville was found Dec. 10 near Tarsus Road in Montgomery County. She had been reported missing by her brother Dec. 8.
MCSO said investigators are questioning persons of interest, but no arrests have been made at this time.
