CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Two men were arrested after an off-duty Clarksville police officer allegedly witnessed them fire at another vehicle.
Arrest warrants state that 23-year-old Kchaez-Desch Naal Wilbert Lopez-Desravins and 24-year-old John Phillip Patterson were traveling west on Needmore Rd. June 11 when the off-duty officer saw them fire a gun at a 2009 Infiniti behind them. The vehicle was hit in the front bumper.
The officer said the shots were fired by Patterson, who was in the passenger seat.
He then followed the Infiniti to Excaliber Dr. but found it unoccupied when he arrived.
The suspects continued to drive down Needmore Rd. at a high rate of speed before losing control and crashing near Elkmont Dr.
The men then reportedly fled into the woods.
A K9 tracker later recovered an empty black glock .40 magazine in the wooded area. A silver kimber .380 pistol was found in the crashed vehicle.
Warrants were served on both suspects June 17. Lopez-Desravins was charged with aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during commission of a felony. His bond was set at $75,000.
