OAK GROVE, Ky. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The Oak Grove Police Department wishes to warn the public about a possible scammer who has taken to the streets.
According to a post on the department’s Facebook page, a man is approaching people near the Oak Grove Walmart claiming he needs money for his family.
The man asks people to cash a Paypal check for him and claims he will give the victim a portion of the check.
“This is a scam,” the post said. “Please do not cash any checks for him!”
Anyone who comes into contact with this individual is asked to contact police at 270-439-4602.
