OAK GROVE, Ky. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) Oak Grove Community Cares is a fundraiser and has challenged Oak Grove Police Chief Dennis Cunningham to be part of a polar plunge.
Cunningham accepted the challenge, but only if the organization can raise $1,000 by November 27.
Community Cares has set up the fundraiser under the name “Freeze the Chief” on the organization’s Facebook page and has asked for donations. All funds raised will benefit the nonprofit organization.
Christian County Sheriff-elect Tyler DeArmond and Oak Grove Code Enforcement Officer John Cruse have also agreed to accept the challenge. DeArmond asked for the goal to be raised to $1,500 for his participation and Cruse has agreed to take the plunge when $500 is raised.
