CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – With Easter just over a week away, Nyrstar hosted a Community Drive-Thru Easter Egg Hunt Saturday, March 27 near their facility on Zinc Plant Rd. The Easter Bunny made an appearance and joined Nyrstar employees and volunteers as they handed out special goody bags of candy and a chance to win prizes.

Nyrstar Human Resources Manager, Patricia Bowling, said Nyrstar wanted to do something for kids who have been cramped up during the pandemic. “We wanted to do something for the community to give back. We benefit from the community providing us with skilled talent and we’re so proud of our workers here,” Bowling said. Bowling added that this was their first Drive-Thru Easter Egg Hunt and they were super pleased with the turnout with 467 children receiving treats.

Bowling recognized Fortera Credit Union for their support with providing prizes, the many Nyrstar employees who helped with the event,  and a group of volunteers from Clarksville High School and Richview Middle School who were helping out as part of the Tennessee Promise program.
