NEW YORK – Threats from a group that hacked private emails at Sony Pictures caused the cancellation of tomorrow night’s New York premiere of “The Interview.”
The comedy is about a CIA plot to assassinate the leader of North Korea.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Sony is allowing theaters to cancel showings.
Carmike Cinemas, which operates 278 theaters in 41 states (including the Carmike Cinema 10 in Governor’s Square Mall), has cancelled the film, which is set to open Christmas day.
