CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Northwest High Athletics is parting ways with head football coach Reynaldo Pena following the 2023 season, where the Vikings compiled a record of 0-10. Both parties confirmed the news Monday.
Pena initially served as defensive coordinator for Northwest before being given the chance to lead the program as head coach in April 2021.
“I am appreciative of the opportunity that Northwest gave me,” Pena told Clarksville Now. “I am truly thankful for the student-athletes’ in the building. I am thankful for all the Northwest faculty and administration for the great four seasons at NWHS. Finally, I want to thank my family for supporting me throughout my time at Northwest and always know God is good!”
Northwest High Athletic Director Elizabeth McDonald thanked Pena for his years of service with the football program and told Clarksville Now administration is actively seeking a new head football coach to lead the Vikings into a successful 2024-25 season.
