CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Northwest girls’ soccer hosted Henry County as the two sides competed for a chance to win a district championship on Thursday, Oct. 13.
This was the second matchup of the season between the two programs. Originally, the Vikings shut out their opponents and won by a score of 7-0. Their second matchup played out very similar to the first.
Northwest controlled the pace of play throughout the contest. The Vikings scored twice during each half and shut out Henry County for the second time this season. When it was all said and done, Northwest secured a 4-0 victory to become the 2022–23 district champions.
According to Max Preps, Northwest has not lost a game since September 9th against Rossview High girls’ soccer. The Vikings currently sit at 10-2-3 on the season as they continue their postseason push. Northwest is scheduled to face Clarksville High at home on Tuesday, Oct. 18 as the playoffs progress. The game is set to begin at 6 p.m.
