CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (ESPN CLARKSVILLE) – The Northeast High School softball program celebrated their 11th student-athlete signing in the last five years, as senior catcher Danielle White signed last week to further her education and softball playing career with Jackson State Community College in Jackson, Tennessee.

White has primarily played catcher at Northeast, but has the ability to play multiple positions on the field.

“Her ability to play tenacious defense across the board, as well as her offensive abilities, and aggressiveness on the bases, will all be assets for her at the next level,” said former Northeast softball head coach Dustin Brady. “Danielle has been a wonderful example of what can happen with a lot of hard work, determination, and mental toughness. Having the opportunity to play with teammates who also went on to play collegiately, really allowed her and many of these student athletes to see that they too can find success, and what it will take to get there. We are excited for Danielle and all that her future holds, as a student-athlete and life beyond.”

While at Northeast, White has culminated a .310 batting average, stolen 22 bases, had over 600 putouts defensively, and held over a .400 on base percentage.
